  • Completely Browser-Based Application
telerik Sitefinity is a completely browser-based application, which does not require downloads or installation of software or other plug-ins. The content management capabilities of the application can be accessed from any computer with a supported browser.

100% WYSIWYG In-Context Site Management Environment
Sitefinity is developed to transfer the process of web site creation and content management entirely to the web. There are no preview buttons - your workspace is your staged web site, so watch it grow.  You will not have to select pages and content blocks from long lists and complex treeviews, but can rather use the site's own navigation system to browse and manage the information in its true context.

    Naturally Intuitive Word®-like Interface
Sitefinity enables even non-technical business users to author and manage HTML content as easily as writing a document. Using the familiar Word-like interface, authors can format text, build tables, create hyperlinks, insert images, Flash, documents, etc.

    Copy/Paste Content from Word®
The content editor makes pasting content from Word® quite easy with four options for stripping the Word-specific tags, which are not suitable for the web: strip Word tags on paste, strip Word tags after paste, paste plain text, or forced paste plain text (for every paste).

Can Accomodate Any Web Site Design
telerik Sitefinity utilizes reusable layout templates, which expedite the creation of pages and ensure design consistency. Those layout templates contain standard nested HTML tables and can accommodate any web site design.

Easily Switch Between the Staged and Live Copy of the Site
The unobtrusive systembar of Sitefinity allows you to easily switch between the control panel, the staged copy and the live copy of the site. The staged copy ("Edit Site" mode) contains the work in progress, which has not been approved/published yet. The live copy ("Live Site" mode), on the other hand, displays the published copy, which is what the general site visitors see.

    Automatic Navigation Components
Sitefinity features out-of-the-box navigation components.  They are tightly integrated with the core CMS application to automatically reflect the page structure of the site. The navigation elements can be completely customized through styles and images to fit the specific graphic design of your web-site.

Examples of a few of the several built in tools and modules for SiteFinity CMS

    Windows®-like Permissions Module
Sitefinity utilizes an extremely flexible module for setting users and permissions. It is very similar to the way file/folder permissions are set in Microsoft Windows® and allows for a fine-grained control on a per-page basis.

    Expedient Linear Workflow
telerik Sitefinity CMS uses a linear workflow cycle, which facilitates expedient processing of content modifications, while in the same time provides adequate levels of control and administration. During one workflow cycle the content passes through 3 distinct stages (Work in Progress, Staged Content, Live Content), with respect to the actions performed by the users (create, modify, approve, decline, submit for publishing, etc.)

    Centralized Task Management
Through a Task Intray The Sitefinity Intray is an essential tool, which helps users keep track of their outstanding workflow tasks. In a convenient grid-view the current user sees his/her work in progress, as well as all content that has been submitted for his/her approval. Past Workflow activities for the given user are archived and can be viewed in the Workflow History.
